She was inspired by a trip to Assisi, Italy, in 2024, where she discovered a famous local artist, Massimo Cruciani, who paints on glass. Having always liked stained glass windows but not so much the process, she was intrigued by this technique of painting on instead of cutting the glass.

These were commissioned pieces on the theme of ‘Moving forward’ and ‘Looking forward’.
The St Michael’s Mount inspired picture has a separate pane of glass added in with the optional waves in the foreground. A similar technique to the motorcyclists riding off into the sunset and the bluebell woods below which was layers of painted glass to experiment with the technique (it came out better with a backing as it doesn’t filter the light as effectively).
Some of these projects took time to do as I’m learning techniques while I go.
If you would like to order a personalised keepsake, especially if it is for a gift with a deadline of a birthday or anniversary, do allow time for it to be made.
A month or longer would be ideal – that’s not to say it will take that long but if needed in a hurry it may affect the pricing.
