First Degree Reiki

The courses, held in Norwich, are facilitated and led by Deb Harding and supported by experienced Reiki master, of 30+ years, Margaret Rose and fellow Reiki master Diana Cooper. 

Deb, Diana and Margaret all have a deep love of Reiki and a down-to-earth approach; their courses are always joyful and uplifting with plenty of laughter and warmth!

They teach traditional Reiki, honouring the spiritual lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furomoto and Johannes Reindl. 

During the First Degree course participants will:

  • Learn about the history of Reiki and the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage
  • Receive 4 initiations
  • Learn and practise the hand positions for daily Reiki self treatment
  • Learn how to give a full Reiki treatment to friends and family
  • Receive a full treatment from fellow participants
  • Learn about the possible physical and emotional responses to Reiki and about aftercare
  • Have time to discuss and explore their experiences and ask questions
  • Receive a certificate on completion of the course

Course numbers are kept small so that everyone receives plenty of support and guidance and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

Weekend courses typically start on the Friday night at 7PM finishing by 9:30PM latest then continue Saturday 10-5PM latest and finish Sunday 10-4PM latest.

Finish times can vary depending on the size and needs of the class. 

Weekend class sizes are a minimum of 3, and currently no more than 5 students, to go ahead. If there aren’t the numbers, students will be invited to join the next available dates. 

Sometimes courses can run as 4 midweek sessions as an alternative to weekend classes. This could be mornings, afternoons or evenings. Get in touch to discuss options and see if we can build a midweek class to add to the calendar.   

Refreshments and biscuits will be provided. Please either bring a lunch or there are plenty of shops and eateries near the clinic as it is very central.

Course cost: £195

A deposit of £50 is required to secure your place

an early-bird price of £180 if paid in full a month (30 days or more) in advance.*

*The early bird offer only applies to students signing up for the set date group classes. 1:1 classes arranged outside of those dates remain as £195 due to the costs involved.

The First Degree Reiki course was wonderful! We were made very much at home by Deborah, who poured heart and soul into initiating and guiding us with warmth during our time together…The training felt comforting and demystifying but there was also something magical and majestic about each ritual step and joining the lineage.
