First Degree Reiki for end of life carers

Course outline:

  • The standard First Degree Reiki course includes 4 initiations, learning about the history of the Reiki lineage, and plenty of practice with giving treatments, self-treating, and receiving treatments involved
  • The Reiki for Carers course will tailor the content to support with end of life care so is supplemented with additional content drawing from the tutor’s own experience, knowledge of homeopathic and plant essence remedies, as well as training in Soul Midwifery and Death Education courses
  • standard First Degree classes are usually held across 4 sessions or a weekend which we can do here too, however, due to the nature of this course, and the needs of the students in carer roles, these classes can be one-to-one taught and flexible with how we organise the sessions.  

Who is this course for?

Primarily, the intention for this course has been end of life care to provide anyone who is caring for a loved one with a terminal or debilitating condition as a way to support and soothe and, just as importantly, provide some self-care techniques for the carer as well. 

Care professionals may also feel they would benefit from learning some non-medical techniques to add to their caring toolbox. 

Anyone with an interest in Reiki and/or end of life care learning who would like to equip themselves with some gentle tools and skills to care for themselves and for loved ones at a time when we can feel really helpless. 

Longterm carers could also benefit from this course or may prefer to learn the First Degree Reiki course without the end of life care elements.

  • access to a Reiki tutor with experience and training in non-medical, non-denominational end of life care tips and advice from Soul Midwife training to death education accredited courses
  • access to homeopathic/flower essence knowledge and experience during the course (then beyond the course if you would like to register as a patient for more personalised, individualised treatment)*
  • Discounted Reiki treatments available for carers to support them supporting others*
  • contact with active Soul Midwives or Death Doulas and local celebrants where appropriate/requested

 

*any treatments beyond the course content are not included in the course fee and therefore will be subject to additional fees eg homeopathic, Reiki treatments, or Soul Midwife support
